Decription

A flat easy walk from the centre of Arundel and back with a loop of Swanbourne Lake.

Suitable for all ages and abilities.
Suitable for push chairs.
Very popular with young families - ducks and swans to feed, boat hire, childrens playground and putting green.
Cannot cycle around lake.

Public toilets at Museum and Swanbourne Lake cafe.

Pedestrian route across bridge
.... cross Mill Road and use the pedestrian bridge instead of the road bridge. There are steps down and up at each end.

Turn off road onto Lake footpath
Once across the bridge take the foot path leading off Mill Road and into the Lake area

Turning point at end of lake
Walk around the path keeping the lake on your right. When you reach the end of the lake stay on the path and loop around the lake

Swanbourne Lodge cafe
As you finish the loop of the lake you will pass the Swanbourne Lodge Cafe and public toilets on your left, and boat hire on the right (please check opening times for all)

Leave the lake back onto Mill Road
Walk through the gates and back onto Mill Road - there is a sign to the Arundel Wetland Centre opposite. Turn right and head back along Mill Road towards the Castle.

Mill Road to bridge
Cross over the road to the Castle gate, and then turn right and walk along Mill Road footpath with the Castle and millstream on your left
