There’s exciting news from one of Visit Arundel’s valued members, EDGE Tea & Coffee, as the family-owned Sussex roastery announces the opening of two new locations in Chichester.
Known for its award-winning speciality coffee and hand-blended teas, EDGE Tea & Coffee has been serving customers for more than 45 years and continues to grow while staying closely connected to its roots in Ford, just outside Arundel.
Many local visitors will already know EDGE through its popular café near Arundel, making this expansion an exciting next step for a much-loved independent business.
EDGE has expanded with two new sites:
Both locations bring the same focus on exceptional coffee, quality tea and warm customer service that EDGE has become known for across Sussex.
At Graylingwell Chapel, EDGE has taken over the running of an already well-established and highly regarded café. The aim is to preserve everything local customers already love while enhancing the offering with EDGE’s expertly roasted coffee, speciality teas, delicious pastries and freshly roasted coffee available to take home.
Meanwhile, the new café at The Chichester Bike Project offers something a little different, bringing EDGE’s welcoming café experience into another community-focused setting.
Founded in 1981, EDGE Tea & Coffee has built a strong reputation as a multi award-winning roastery specialising in both speciality coffee and tea.
Supplying customers across the UK through its café, retail and online channels, the business remains proudly family-owned and continues to prioritise quality, consistency and genuine customer care.
Because both new locations are close to the roastery, the team can remain hands-on while reaching even more customers across the Chichester area.
Importantly, existing staff have been retained at Graylingwell Chapel, helping maintain the welcoming atmosphere and continuity that regular visitors value.
Stewart Cumming, Managing Director of EDGE Tea & Coffee, explains:
“For us, this isn’t just about opening more sites. It’s about creating places people genuinely want to come into, whether that’s for a delicious cup of coffee, a proper pot of tea, or something to take home and enjoy later.
“At Graylingwell in particular, we’re stepping into a space that already means a lot to people locally. Our aim is to respect that and build on it, keeping what works, while gradually introducing what we do best.
“We’ve always believed that how you look after people matters just as much as what you serve, and that’s something we’re known for. As we grow, that won’t change.”
For those visiting Arundel, EDGE remains a fantastic local stop for exceptional coffee and tea, whether enjoying a cup in-store or picking up freshly roasted coffee and hand-blended teas to take home.
EDGE is a brilliant example of the independent businesses that help make this part of West Sussex so special. Both new Chichester locations are now open, giving even more people the chance to discover what makes EDGE so popular.
As they say themselves — Get the EDGE: Exceptional. Essential. Every Day.
