Aldingbourne Country Centre
A maze, ride-on tractors, woodland walks, an indoor slide and soft play, just in case the weather doesn’t play ball, all just a few of the things to do at Aldingbourne. And best of all there’s an open farm home to a variety of different animals, including chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, donkeys, ponies, alpacas, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, and peacocks. Children will love visiting them up close in their homes and learn about them in the great outdoors – it’s a great day out and also supports a local charity.

Arundel Wetland Centre – Mudfest 14-22nd February
Half-term highlight the Wetland Centre Mudfest! A week-long celebration of all things muddy, wild, and wonderful. Lots of hands-on activities are planned that let kids, and grown-ups (!), explore, create, and play in nature’s messiest playground. Waterproofs, wellies and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, are advisable!

Lodge Hill Centre – 17th & 19th February Holiday Club
This one is one for slightly older children who love being outside and trying new things. Lodge Hill Holiday Club offers a fun-filled, day of exciting outdoor adventures (children aged 8-12 years) and lots of activities to try: climbing, Archery, Gladiator Challenge and lots more fun, all under guidance and supervision. The day includes one target shooting activity e.g. Archery or Rifles; at least two ground activities e.g. Sno-tubing, Low Ropes, Fencing, Wide Games. Pre-booking essential.

Arundel Museum (art & lego workshops)
Arundel’s state-of-the-art museum has been designed to provide visitors to with a fascinating insight into the history of the town and its people. The permanent display has something for all the family including a Children’s Trail and a chance to handle and learn more about some of the exhibits.
This half-term the museum is hosting two workshops that any budding artist or lego fan will love:
Art workshop – 17th February, 10.30 – 12.30pm
This year’s theme: design your very own circus (all materials are supplied and a snack at break time)
Lego at the Museum – 18th February 2 – 3.30pm
Theme: build a bridge or a new town (depending on the session)

Mill Road Putting Green
Between the river and the Castle, this 18-hole putting green is popular with families and a fun way to spend a couple of hours in the fresh air (as long as it’s not raining!). Visitors are provided with clubs, balls and a scoring card. And for the more energetic there’s also two tennis courts available for hire.
