Tarrant St Independents

A collective of all the wonderful businesses based in Tarrant, have collaborated with local residents to design a Tulip Trail on Tarrant St.

Throughout the month of April as the tulips at the castle bloom, we have created a tulip themed burst of spring and invite you to come and explore the Tarrant St tulips.

Tarrant St, is only a three-minute walk from Arundel Castle and offers a unique collection of independent stores and the best coffee in town.

Business are Blooming

To celebrate Spring, the Arundel Tulip Festival and all things wonderful in Tarrant, we would love you to join us in creating the first Tulip Trail on Tarrant Street!

Very similar to when residents and businesses create themed Christmas window displays, the idea is to invite all Tarrant residents and businesses to become involved and create a TULIP THEMED something, somewhere on their premises.

It can be in a window, on the door, wall, in pots, window boxes, baskets, real or artificial – a simple vase of tulips in a window would be more than enough.

Five local artists are taking over the windows at Sparks Yard and creating their own interpretation for Tulips on Tarrant, and the team at The Victoria Institute are crafting a ‘floral theme garden’ in the Brick Room.

The intention is to attract more people to Tarrant St during the Tulip Festival and showcase this community spirited project, along with all the wonderful independents we have here.

It is an opportunity for all residents and businesses to create something special for the street, but each in their own particular way.

We have postcards promoting the initiative and ask if you could put the tulip side in your window for the month of April. And, we have friendly florists and artists who can help with any installations should you need help with any ideas or want to go big!

Postcards will be distributed around the town, pls do come and collect from Parkers Atelier if you need more.
